UKDP works closely in partnership with contractors

About Us

The 'Drainage Protocol' was created by the insurance industry to cater for the increasing number of shared drainage claims, where four or more properties share the liability of the cost of repair to the private shared sewer. The cost of the repair of shared drainage systems is covered by each home's buildings insurance policy, but the co-ordination of multiple homeowners and policies to facilitate the repair can be incredibly complex and time consuming. UK Drainage Protocol entirely remove the administrative burden from all parties involved, offering an end to end solution to the problem. As the protocol provides significant cost and time savings for environmental health departments in local authorities, we currently work on referral from a number of councils across England and Wales, providing an alternative to the use and enforcement of Section 59 notices.

UKDP is unique in the drainage market, as we are the only company to offer the protocol service even though we are not a repair contractor. We believe that this independence from contractors is essential to the successful completion of the projects we manage, and it enables us to focus purely on managing and controlling these complex cases whilst representing the homeowners involved.

UKDP is a rapidly growing business, and within our team we have a great deal of technical expertise from within the drainage, insurance and construction sectors. This is also balanced by commercial expertise within our management team gained from other service industry sectors, ensuring a focus on the customer as well as the technical aspects of what we do.

We are now utilising our unique and specialist expertise in domestic drainage to develop flexible and bespoke solutions for the water industry post transfer. If you would like to discuss any element of what UKDP do or how we can help, please contact one of our management team.
