UKDP was originally established to resolve problems affecting shared drainage systems on behalf of local authorities and homeowners. We arranged and hosted residents’ meetings, scheduled investigations and repairs, liaised with homeowners’ insurers and loss adjusters and kept all parties involved up to date on progress throughout the repair project. Our focus was on ensuring homeowners received professional and consistent communications, and that we achieved cost savings through efficient management of the repair projects.
This experience lead us to develop a specialism in off mains repairs, in which we could combine our customer communications experience and insurer liaison expertise to deliver a unique solution to property owners, local authorities and contractors involved in resolving off mains issues.
We will gain an understanding of the issues – including any physical, budgetary or environmental restrictions – delivering a solution that not only complies with all necessary regulations but one that also seeks to recover any costs possible through existing insurance policies. Our team of Field Operations Managers ensure that we are able to deliver our service across England and Wales, backed up with the support of a Head Office administration and customer service centre, available both during and outside of office hours. Councils across England and Wales gave us their views and opinions on the transfer of private drains and sewers before the new legislation took effect.
